Wegner took a giant step forward in furniture design with the CH24, combining the top rails and arms into one piece. To give stability to the steam-bent top and provide comfortable support, Wegner developed the distinctive Y-shaped backrest that earned the CH24 chair its well-known nickname: Wishbone.
