Description
The FH429 Signature Armchair was designed by Frits Henningsen, a cabinetmaker and designer who strives for perfection in his work. His pieces were always the result of a long process of design, model and prototype, which he created himself. This armchair is the fruit of months of testing and adjustment in his Copenhagen workshop. Only 20 pieces were produced by Frits Henningsen himself.
Carl Hansen & Søn reissued this design in 2015.
The simplicity of Henningsen's work has grown over the years. The Signature chair becomes his purest design. It is a true culmination. His interest in comfort and elegance through the use of curved, graceful lines is evident in this final project. Its soft, attractive forms and floating arms create a simple, majestic and organic form that calls for quiet contemplation.
