Description
Rebecca Felcey is particularly fond of creating bookcases, expressing her love of books. This model is imagined as a sculpture in which the sober, architectural construction allows full expression of the noble materials of which it is made: solid oak and travertine.
The stone volumes are laid alternately in front and in profile, giving rhythm to the library.
Each piece is sculpted by hand, with the edge cut to create a unique motif each time.
After several trials in the workshop, Rebecca Felcey chose a process that creates striations on the reworked parts: a play on lines that she particularly likes.
The bookcase is handcrafted in Italy
