Paulo Mendes da Rocha is a living legend of contemporary architecture. His work is assimilated to the "school of brutalist architecture of São Paulo". A brutalism that refers to raw concrete, simple forms. His many awards include the Pritzker Prize in 2006 and the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2016.
